It cannot deny that with the pass of the time everything change; the landscape, the people, the fashion, the way of thinking, the technology, among other things. Nevertheless, this last point, the technology, has changed in an extraordinary way. In the last two decades, the technology has had important advances in a faster way that has made that people depend on it a little bit each day. It can say that this one is part of the human culture, and it is an important tool to the development to the people. The technology is not used it to cover basic necessities such as the electricity, but also it is used to entertainment of the people. Nonetheless, as the technology is changing every day, the people have to update about it because if no it can lost the rhythm that the technology has.
Now let us talk about the people that in this moment are around forty-five and sixty years. What happen with them and the technology of nowadays? It can say that some of them have habited to use it, but there some others that no yet. And the problem with this is that in the majority of the jobs ask to people at least have the basic knowing about computers, and there are some people that they don’t know how to make the most simple thing, for instance turn a computer on. For that reason, is that these people prefer to avoid everything related with the technology. But, not only the people that is forty or sixty years dislike the technology, but also there are young people the literary hate the technology, specially everything about Internet, and if they have to made used of it, they prefer to pay somebody else to do it. It is said that the people that is fear or dislike technology is technophobe. The technophobia is a phobia basically, and as in well known a phobia is an irrational fear about something. So, it no just the people that don’t know how to used that starts to avoid it or start to scare it, sometimes there are people that know how to use it and they suddenly star to avoid and be afraid of it because of a story or experience.
Now, let us think about in opposite side, the people that cannot live without technology. This kind of people that instead of cover their daily necessity prefer spend all their time in from of a computer or in a cell phone. And this phenomenon has become in an addiction that cover every part of their life. This could be considering as an illness, and it used to be call technophiles. In general terms it refers generally to a strong enthusiasm for technology. Now how o know if you are a techno addicted or no? Answer the following question and see if you are a technophiles person or no.
1. Do you eat most of your meals while at the computer or in front of the television?
2. Do you sometimes bring your laptop when you sit on the toilet?
3. Do you check your feeds more than 1x per hour?
4. Do you make a nervous habit out of refreshing your inbox over and over, just in case someone emailed you in the last 45 seconds?
